EarlyON Child and Family Centres Survey

This is an exciting year to make good things in our community even better for families with young children, and we need your help to get it right!

New EarlyON Child and Family Centres will provide a wide range of programmes and services to parents/guardians and caregivers who care for children ages birth to 6 years, based on the needs of each local community.

All EarlyON children’s programmes will be offered by a Registered Early Childhood Educator while all staff must be knowledgable and able to link families to resources and other services they need. There will also be nurses from Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health on site from time to time to offer a variety of pre and post-natal programmes as well as other health-related services. Many other local agencies will also be present at EarlyON Centres, based on the needs expressed by the community.

Programmes and services must be offered in accessible public spaces such as schools, child care centres, municipal community/recreation centres, libraries etc. Currently, these services are being offered at four sites in our service delivery area. There are two main sites in the City of Guelph located at Stone Road Mall and the Shelldale Centre off Dawson Road. There are also two main sites in the County of Wellington located in Fergus and Mount Forest, along with many satellite sites across the County. Two new EarlyON Centres are being built on the grounds of Sacred Heart School in Rockwood and on the grounds of Erin Public School in Erin. To help families get the information they need when they need it, programmes and services will be offered during the day, evenings and weekends, as needed. We have also developed a new website that has many resources and events that we update all the time. Visit us at www.growinggreatgenerations.ca. But do our survey first!

And if you are really excited and want to get involved in the EarlyON ad hoc working group for your municipality, or just stay updated on our work, please submit your contact information at the end of the survey so we can reach out to you.
